I am a WASP-funded PhD student in the Internet Computing and Emerging Technologies Lab (ICET-lab) working with Philipp Leitner at the joint Software Engineering division at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. I received my MSc and BSc in Software Systems from the University of Zurich (UZH), where I was part of the Software Evolution and Architecture Lab (seal) research group during my master studies.
My current research focuses on methods and mechanisms to proactively manage the quality of cloud applications, in particular regarding software performance and deployment costs. Further, I empirically study performance variations in cloud environments through cloud benchmarking using synthetic micro-benchmarks and real-world application-benchmarks. I am best known for my work with Cloud WorkBench (CWB), a cloud benchmarking toolkit to automatically provision and execute performance benchmarks in cloud environments.
